Oxford Science Group intends oxfordsciencegroup.com to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA. The supplied launch build includes semantic structure, keyboard navigation, visible focus, colour-contrast controls, form labels, error-ready markup, alternative text, responsive reflow and reduced-motion support.
Current status
The build has undergone structured code and visual checks in the delivery environment. A final production accessibility test is still required after the domain, analytics configuration, contact delivery and approved content are in place. This statement must be updated with the tested compliance status and any known issues before launch.
Using the site
- Navigation and core controls are intended to work by keyboard.
- A skip link moves directly to the main content.
- Text reflows for mobile and zoomed layouts without relying on horizontal scrolling for primary content.
- Animations respect the device’s reduced-motion preference.
- Form fields have programmatic labels and clear required-field text.
- Images that convey meaning have alternative text; decorative presentation is kept out of the reading order where appropriate.
Known launch actions
- complete keyboard, screen-reader, zoom and contrast testing on the production build;
- verify any CMS-added content and future embedded media;
- test server-generated validation errors and the final form confirmation path;
- record any third-party limitations and provide an accessible alternative;
